With a projected 43 years life of mine and resources totalling over 200 million tonnes, we are embarking on a major expansion of our Pilbara-based Wodgina Lithium site which will see a significant mine expansion, construction of a new processing plant, the arrival of major mobile fleet including new PC7000 and EX3600 excavators and the development of significant new non-process infrastructure, operational by mid-2018.

As a result of this continued expansion we require experienced Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisors to work in partnership with our existing team to deliver on our Wodgina lithium mining schedule. This permanent position is offered on a 2/1 roster FIFO from Perth.

The Purpose of the Role

A new, site based role you will be responsible for providing MEM Services and leadership, to the mine operations. You will also drive continuous improvements working in a fast paced operations environment and have the ability to adapt quickly to change.

You will need to focus on maintenance processes to ensure KIPs are met by closely managing your team to deliver planned targets in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with statutory legislative and company requirements.

Your Responsibilities
With a solid understanding of planning fundamentals, through to execution, you will also be responsible for:

  • Record all Tyre movements and coordinate Tyre inspections & monthly audits
  • Co-ordinate collection and disposal of waste materials from maintenance activities
  • Provide daily downtime log to site admin for entering into Machine Hours sheet
  • Record completed work order details
  • Maintain site registers
  • Completion of Daily Shift Log
  • Record all work requests, and all unplanned works
  • Carry out regular Workshop inspections
  • Conduct weekly tyre pressure checks and stocktakes
  • Monitor lubricant and tooling supply
  • Maintain GET and consumable stocks for Maintenance use.
  • Ensure SOP’s and JSA’s are used for all tasks
  • Maintain and foster a working environment which prompts safety in all that we do, whilst also providing outstanding service
     

To be successful in your application, you will have:

  • You will have experience running a team of approximately 10 – 20 staff, with a combination of trades and Servicepersons, who, in addition to maintaining LV’s and auxiliary’s
  • Demonstrated experience in large scale, hard rock open pit mining operations working as a mobile plant supervisor
  • Hold a relevant trade qualification that is supported by previous experience within a mining environment
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to get the team to work cohesively
  • Lead by example in safety and wellness to ensure a culture of zero harm is maintained
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel 
  • The ability to use initiative to contribute and support continuous improvement, and drive change
