What you can expect from MRL

We are currently for an experienced Planning Superintendent to join out Asset Management Group in Applecross. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will be responsible for the coordination of maintenance planning, strategies and processes to optimise the performance of MRL’s mobile fleet and operations.

As the Planning Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring the Planning team effectively supports the mobile equipment assets for MRL’s Mining and Crushing operations. You will be responsible for the planning and scheduling activities for all AMG Assets to ensure the fleet and major components achieve maximum availability in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner and to analyse equipment performance and reliability in relation to lifecycle cost performance.

About the role;

• Accountable for the efficient and accurate development of plans and schedules in accordance to industry standard asset maintenance and shutdown principles in a mining environment
• Accountable for regular planning and scheduling meetings and pre and post plan reviews
• Accountable for shutdown and maintenance activity review to achieve continual improvement in order to support long term planning functions
• Responsible for monitoring, auditing and review of site compliance to plan.
• Compliance with OEM procedures and AMG Asset Management Framework and maintenance principles
• Provide and support input for tenders, plant rates, asset cost forecasting, monitoring and reporting
• Manage the day to day functions of the Planning Team to meet set targets and goals

About you

• Mechanical trade or tertiary qualification in Engineering desirable
• Extensive technical, planning and maintenance knowledge of large and ancillary mining equipment
• Experience with heavy mobile equipment essential
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of Asset Management principals and standards
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• High degree of computer literacy including the use of CMMS, Microsoft suite of products
• Significant demonstrated leadership which supports a high performance culture
