What you can expect from MRL
Our training team are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our Applecross based team on a fixed term basis. Reporting to our Training Superintendent, your responsibility is to work with management, stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and develop engaging online course material for all areas of the business.
This role also requires you to assist in the development and implementation of e-learning processes & procedures to ensure the streamlining and efficiency of training requests.
What We Expect From YOU
- With a demonstrated background in developing and implementing training programs, you will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of LMS systems and e-learning methodologies
- Design and develop a diverse range of e-learning modules that will be used across the business
- Ensure the training you design and develop adheres to professional policies and procedures, working towards training best practice
- The training you design & develop is engaging and innovative
- Work autonomously, managing your projects, time-frames and objectives
- Embrace collaboration and build relationships with MRL corporate based and site based leadership teams
- Liaise with stakeholders and subject matter experts regarding e-Learning needs, processes and procedures
- Regularly communicate professionally with stakeholders with updates and expectations
- Maintain and foster a working environment which prompts safety in all that we do, whilst also providing outstanding service
What YOU Will Bring
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE and LLN (Desirable)
- At least 3+ years’ experience in a fast pace business in an Instructional Design role
- Excellent ability to build relationships and influence others as you will work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to build content that suits the style of the business
- Intermediate computer skills for, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook software systems
- Extensive knowledge of Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and other file types/programs used for e- Experience with INX- Intuition (desirable)
- Ability to create attention-grabbing interactive designs that provide learners with an engaging and intuitive experience
