About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor for our Koolyanobbing site in our Transport and Site Services team on a 9/5 roster from Perth.
Reporting to the Haulage Superintendent, your primary responsibility will be to provide effective supervision and coordination of all road haulage maintenance activities on site. You will have experience leading and mentoring a crew of tradespeople and have experience with Kenworth C510 and T909 and ISX and QSK engines. With a solid understanding of planning fundamentals, through to execution, you will also be responsible for:
- Planning shift tasks, servicing in cooperation with haulage supervisors
- Record all Tyre movements and coordinate Tyre inspections & monthly audits
- Provide daily downtime log for entering machine hours and faults
- Record completed work order details
- Maintain site registers
- Prepare and present daily pre-start information sessions for crews
- Record all work requests, and all unplanned works
- Carry out regular Workshop inspections
- Manage stock control, ordering and stores for maintenance
- Monitor lubricant and tooling supply
- Ensure SOP’s and JSA’s are followed for tasks
- Maintain and foster a working environment which prompts safety in all that we do, whilst also providing outstanding service
- Foster solid working relationships with key stakeholders.
Your Experience
- Hold a relevant trade qualification that is supported by previous experience within a mining environment
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to get the team to work cohesively
- Lead by example in safety and wellness to ensure a culture of zero harm is maintained
- The ability to use initiative to contribute and support continuous improvement, and drive change
