MRL is currently seeking a Contracts Specialist to join our Legal and Commercial Division based in our Head Office in Applecross.  This role will form an integral part of the MRL legal and commercial team, and the performance of the team's contract management responsibilities for client contracts and supplier agreements on behalf of the MRL group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiation and management of commercial contracts on behalf of all MRL Group companies including client contracts, subcontracts, sale agreements, lease agreements, etc..
• Negotiation and management of, contract claims and variations.
• Providing contractual and commercial management advice and support to business unit managers and project/operations managers
• Assisting with the preparation of tender submissions, and the review of tender contract documents. .Drafting contract related correspondence as required.
• Preparation and distribution of contract summaries for MRL group project and site managers.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contracts and commercial principles gained while working in a contracts or specialist commercial role within a corporate contracts team, law firm or other commercial/legal environment.
• Exposure to the commercial and legal issues impacting businesses and the delivery of projects.
• Ability to produce and present documents, proposals or recommendations on contract and commercial matters to senior management in a clear, concise and coherent manner.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills; in particular communication, influencing and negotiation skill-sets
• Degree qualified in Law, or equivalent qualification in a related field.
