The Opportunity;

Reporting to the Transformation Manager, you will play a key role in supporting Finance, by working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business in project execution, data analysis and extraction, PowerBi reporting and data visualisation. This role will support Senior Analysts in day-to-day Business Intelligence support and reporting, as well as working on process and technology initiatives that support the overall finance and business strategy.

This role is a one year fixed term contract based at our Head Office in Osborne Park. 

In this position you will:

• Contribute to Finance related projects, collaborating with cross functional teams to scope initiatives and document business, technical and data requirements.
• Participate in project delivery including assisting in execution of project tasks, including process documentation, testing, and supporting change initiatives.
• Create, develop, and maintain PowerBi dashboards and reports to support financial analysis and business decision-making.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources such as databases, spreadsheets, and other software systems.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous validation and checking processes.
• Assist in implementation of an enterprise-wide data governance framework, tools, and processes.
• Assist in the automation of data collection and report generation processes to improve efficiency.
• Provide ongoing support and training to finance team members on using PowerBi tools and interpreting data visualizations.
• Perform ad hoc data analysis and generate reports as requested by management or other stakeholders.

What is required;

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in a business and data analysis role, preferably within a finance department or similar environment.
• Certification in PowerBi (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate), SQL or Python highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerBi, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data analysis, and visualization techniques.
• Experience with SQL and database management is highly desirable.
• Basic understanding of finance principles and the ability to apply them in business and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
