The Opportunity

MinRes is seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to join our Iron Valley operation on an 8x6 roster. Reporting through to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the duties involved in the preparation and analysis of routine plant and pit samples and managing the safe and efficient use and maintenance of all associated laboratory equipment. An essential requirement is prior experience in an onsite laboratory setting, showcasing a strong focus on attention to detail. Coaching and mentoring abilities are also highly valued.

• Act as a positive role model and deliver coaching, mentoring, and development of the wider team to enhance technical capability
• Ensure equipment maintenance is optimised through onsite strategies and leverage relationships with external specialists
• Create and curate a collaborative workplace culture aligned with organisational values, with a distinct focus on safety
• Establish and foster a safety-oriented culture within the laboratory, proactively advocating for safe work practices, ensuring proper control of environmental conditions, and responding promptly to any incidents or injuries that may occur

What is Required?

• Cert IV Laboratory Techniques (Diploma or higher preferred) and Radiation Safety Officer licence
• Comprehensive knowledge, understanding and hands-on experience in laboratory management processes, particularly in pit and plant sampling

• Demonstrated experience effectively leading and managing laboratory teams
