About the role

We are looking for a Community Engagement Officer to support the Land Access team by developing and maintaining relationships within the communities in which we operate. This role will support the Senior Land Access Officer with engagement for access negotiations as well as operational land access requirements when exploration and drilling activities are underway. This role is field based preferably in the Dandaragan region and will play an active part in identifying opportunities for and facilitating community events as a representative for Energy Resources.

You will;

  • Develop and maintain relationships on ground with landholders within project areas and wider community;
  • Manage strategic affiliations defined by the stakeholder engagement strategy;
  • Identify and present opportunities for developing ERL’s social license to operate;
  • Engage with Traditional owners applicable to the area for heritage surveys;
  • Maintain a live stakeholder database;
  • Assist with land access and compensation agreement negotiations as required;
  • Support on ground for operational land access requirements;

What you’ll bring to the team

  • 2+ years’ experience in a community engagement (or similar) role
  • Tertiary qualification in business/commerce or communications preferable
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with the team and within the communities we operate
  • Effective communication, listening and presentation skills;
  • Microsoft Office Proficient (Word, PowerPoint, & Excel)
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
