Digital Lead
- Osborne Park, WA, Australia, 6017
- Permanent, Full time
MinRes Can Offer
- Ownership of our digital presence: Take a hands-on lead in managing and improving the websites, intranet, careers portals and email platforms that connect MinRes with our employees, candidates and external audiences.
- The opportunity to make practical improvements: Combine your technical expertise with strategic thinking to deliver achievable changes that improve content, channel performance and user experience.
- Access to in-house creative capability: Collaborate with our communications, brand and production teams to bring engaging content to life across our digital channels.
MinRes is looking for a Digital Lead to join our Communications & Brand team as the subject matter expert on our digital communications channels.
This role is an important part of our Communications function, reporting to the Communications Manager and responsible for the platforms through which MinRes speaks to its people, candidates, investors and the public.
You’ll bring deep knowledge of the platforms behind modern corporate communications – including CMS, intranet, email/CRM and analytics – with the expertise to keep our channels accurate, accessible and easy to use.
The Digital Lead works in close consultation with the Communications Manager on digital direction, investment and priorities, collaborating with the broader Communications & Brand team and relevant stakeholders.
You’ll also have an eye for detail and continuous improvement, identifying and delivering targeted improvements that make our platforms look and work better for the people who use them.
What you will do
- Own the day-to-day administration, content quality, presentation and functionality of our website, intranet, careers portals and microsites.
- Contribute platform and performance insight to the digital strategy, in close consultation with the Communications Manager on direction, investment and prioritisation.
- Publish and distribute content developed by the Communications Leads and Brand team across website, intranet and email, and advise them on channel-specific best practice for format, timing and reach.
- Build and run email and CRM campaigns, including templates, audience segmentation and scheduling, and manage the ASX announcement email templates and subscriber lists.
- Own analytics, tagging and SEO, and provide performance reporting that informs channel planning.
- Plan and deliver incremental improvements to navigation, accessibility, platform functionality and user experience.
- Maintain digital publishing standards, access controls, cookie compliance and accessibility (WCAG) requirements, in partnership with Governance, Cybersecurity and Digital Technology Services.
- Govern platform access, security and cross-channel standards for our social media channels.
- Coordinate external web development partners and day-to-day platform vendors and licences, escalating contract and investment decisions.
- Monitor digital channels and brand conversations, escalating sensitive issues and making rapid digital updates during live incidents.
What you will bring
- A Bachelor's degree in digital media, communications, marketing, information technology or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience managing digital platforms (website, intranet, email/CRM) in a corporate environment, with demonstrated hands-on platform administration ownership.
- Experience leading or mentoring others and the ambition to develop your people leadership.
- Practical experience scoping and delivering modest, defined improvement projects within an existing governance framework.
- Hands-on experience with a CMS, an email marketing/CRM platform (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 or comparable), and web analytics and tagging tools (e.g. GA4, Google Tag Manager).
- Experience managing digital community engagement, including responding to sensitive or high-volume enquiries.
- Working knowledge of UX principles and accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG), sufficient to identify issues and contribute to improvement projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across governance, technology and communications teams.
- Comfort working with legacy systems and manual processes, while making the case for incremental improvement.
