About the role
To support our exceptional growth for our exploration activities we are seeking multiple Exploration Geologists to join our Central Pilbara team on an 8/6 roster. As a key team member you will play a lead role in coordinating both external and internal stakeholders to achieve the company's goals in identifying and evaluating new and existing deposits.
This will be a hands-on position reporting directly to the Principle Geologist. The primary responsibility is identifying, exploring and developing our existing and proposed assets, where you will be a integral member for our Exploration operations within MinRES.
You will be responsible for:
- Assist in the execution of resource definition and exploration drill programs;
- Collect, validate and manage geological data from field mapping and drill programs;
- Input all field data into the Acquire database;
- Drill rig supervision; geological logging; geological interpretation; ensure sampling quality is maintained;
- Ensuring safety standards are maintained within the geology group and with all exploration contractors;
- Ensure drilling is completed to appropriate standards and is cost effective;
- Reporting on progress of drill campaigns against physical budgets and technical goals;
- Ongoing interpretation of mineralisation model based on geological observations;
- Support the Senior and Principal Geologist with preparation of operational reports;
- Maintain an organised electronic filing system and ensure copies of all auditable information are stored correctly;
- Maintain regular and effective communication and feedback with peers, subordinates and superiors;
- Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of the role;
- Statutory and technical reporting as required;
- Undertake work tasks as directed by the Senior Geologist and/or Principal Geologist;

Necessary skills and qualifications:
- Tertiary level education in Geology
- 2+ years experience in the mining and exploration industry
- Lithium, Iron ore and base metals experience is highly desirable
- Skilled user of AcQuire, Micromine and Arc GIS software
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
- Skilled in geological interpretation.
- Previous experience around exploration drill rigs
- Senior/Provided First Aid
- 4wd training
- Well-developed communication skills– both oral and written
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Meet deadlines and manage priorities to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
