The Role:

Our Mount Marion Maintenance team has an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Planner and play a pivotal role in keeping our operations running at their best. Working on an 8:6 FIFO roster, you’ll take ownership of planning short- to long-term maintenance activities, ensuring they align with our approved maintenance plan and support the optimal performance of all AMG assets on site.

This is an opportunity to showcase your expertise, collaborate with skilled trades and operational teams, and make a tangible difference to the reliability and efficiency of one of MinRes key mining operations.

Key responsibilities:

    • Plan, schedule and coordinate maintenance activities for mining equipment.
    • Develop and implement maintenance plans and strategies for all mobile plant and equipment.
    • Ensure company assets are maintained safely, efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.
    • Prepare and manage maintenance schedules and work orders for the maintenance team.
    • Coordinate labour, parts, contractor support, on-site and off-site repairs in advance to reduce downtime and minimise disruption to site operations.
    • Monitor equipment performance, assess risk of failure and support maintenance cost control through effective planning and analysis.

What will you bring?

    • Current WA Manual “C” Class Driver’s Licence
    • Relevant trade qualifications, licences and certificates
    • Mechanical maintenance experience within an open cut mining environment
    • Experience in a Maintenance Planner position or a similar planning role
    • Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ideally Pronto
    • Strong computer literacy, including experience across the Microsoft Office Suite
    • A positive, team-focused attitude with strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Commitment to maintaining a proactive and safe working environment
    • Strong problem-solving ability, with a flexible and adaptable approach

Mt Marion is located 40km south-west of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. MinRes manages all mining activities at Mt Marion, including a spodumene concentrate processing plant with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tonnes (SC6 equivalent).
