The Opportunity

The position of Crushing & Processing Manager is to provide day to day direction and medium-term strategy to operational, maintenance crews and technical team on site.  This position has the responsibility of ensuring that all tasks are being carried out efficiently, safely and correctly.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure day to day duties regarding operating, maintaining and inspection of Fixed Plant equipment is carried out in the correct manner with respect to quality and safety.
  • Organise action registers to address safety and management issued highlighted from daily inspections.
  • Closely monitor and manage costs to planned budget expenditure.
  • Assist with planning, preparation and completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure equipment condition is monitored and maintained to a high standard.
  • Ensure Quality, Environmental and other Company policies are implemented, maintained and progressively improved.
  • In conjunction with the Human Resources Department, ensure that all staff working onsite are suitably qualified and have the capacity to carry out the work as required.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Manager, conduct new employee and staff annual reviews professionally and timely in accordance with procedure.

 

What is Required?

  • Extensive experience within a crushing plant, as well as wet plant or similar fixed plant environment. Experience in DMS extraction processes beneficial.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in lading multi discipline team members.
  • Schedule 26.
  • Relevant trade qualification.
