About the role and your responsibilities

Reporting to the Principal Mine Improvement, this role is suited for a Project Engineer with experience in a mining environment. With your strong problem-solving skills combined with knowledge of business improvement methods, you will identify where current operations can be improved and will drive the causes of any deviations. Having the capacity to see the whole picture you will be able to propose solutions. You will use your communication and people skills to engage effectively all levels of the business. You will have the opportunity to effectively produce positive changes in the process supply chain through the adoption of new processes and technology. This role provides an opportunity for an ambitious and technical savvy Project Engineer looking to develop a long term career with a fast-growing organisation.

About you and your experience

  • Degree qualified Mining Engineer; those with Process Engineering or Industrial Engineering with relevant experience may be considered
  • Suit Engineer with understanding of the open pit mining processes, capable of managing large data volumes and providing reporting/ detailed analysis of that information
  • Mining data analysis, identification of improvement opportunities and implementation of new processes and technology in the mine operations for current and future projects.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in business improvement techniques like Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen/RCA/Problem-solving
  • Understanding and application of statistical concepts, familiar with mining operational concepts.
  • Ideally experienced in data analytical solutions.
  • Previous experience in Fleet Management Systems.
