The Role

MinRes Energy is looking for an experienced Night Tour Push for the MinRes co-owned  LOC400 drilling rig.

Ideally commencing as soon as possible joining our Energy team on a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off roster. The Night Tour Push will be responsible for the well drilling process including operating the drilling rig.

  • Operate and monitor all drilling systems and equipment to deliver the well as per the established drilling program.
  • Ensuring a safely operated rig site, through compliance with MinRes policies
  • Supervise and direct activities of drilling crew during drilling, rig move and maintenance operations
  • Maintain well control certification and operate the drilling unit in accordance with safe well control procedures and all legislative requirements
  • Keep record of daily well operations Input, update and follow up with hazard, behavioural observations and incident registers.
  • Promptly report any damaged equipment which cannot be repaired with resources available on site.

What you will bring to the team

  • IWCF Level 3 well control
  • 5 years experience operating cyber rigs as a driller
  • Experience in onshore rig operations
  • Prior experience in provision of technical support
  • Current First aid certificate
  • Working at heights / Confined Space
  • Preferable onshore drilling certificate
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of drilling operations and equipment
  • Working knowledge of Australian safety standards and regulations
