P2P Process Specialist

  • Metro, WA, Australia, 6000
  • Fixed Term
  • Full Time

WA’s a state (and an economy) built on mining and at Mineral Resources (MRL), we’re focused on growing that position.

With this growth comes new roles and those rare opportunities to get noticed and achieve meaningful results.

About the role

MRL are seeking an experienced and motivated P2P Process Specialist to support the effective management of the P2P process design and continuous improvement.

The P2P Process Specialist will assist the team in planning and executing supply process management/standardisation projects, interfacing with relevant business units and teams, to ensure process development, improvement and consistency across the MRL Group.

This role is a 12 month fixed term opportunity.

In this position you’ll:

  • Drive integration between Procurement and all other P2P business processes with the target of end-to-end optimisation.
  • Coordinate with the supply teams to standardize where appropriate, share learning and best practices, and ensure alignment with the end-to-end process objectives and initiatives
  • Produce insights using the relevant business analytics on P2P processes performances
  • Assess aspects of P2P process performance and efficiency against market capabilities to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Use metrics, engage in a dialogue with business stakeholders to discuss priorities and approach to process enhancements
  • Lead process discovery walkthroughs with the embedded business teams and service delivery teams to identify most impactful changes.
  • Implement processes and application landscape according to agreed priorities and time lines - drive implementation through projects and enhancements.
  • Support stakeholders in decision making and sign-off all future P2P process designs
  • Work with the supply team and stakeholders to reduce process variation, transform supply processes and capabilities
  • Facilitate workshops for process analysis

As a leader, you want to look back in a few years and be proud of what you’ve achieved.

Not just as one replaceable cog in a mining machine, but as a change maker.

Tracking these achievements gives you runs on the board and a clear path towards your next challenge or project. At MRL, we want you to celebrate your wins and see the next step clearly.

Giving you the freedom to reimagine how things work? MRL would.

Necessary skills and qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma qualification in commerce/supply chain
  • 10 Years minimum working in Supply / Procurement roles
  • Strong track record across general P2P / S2P process management, during periods of system implementation.
  • Experience with reputable procurement system solutions, such as SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa, Pronto amongst others.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience working with procurement professionals to communicate change, identify opportunities for improvement and drive forward the implementation of prospective changes
  • Ideally experienced / exposure in executing P2P / S2P system / upgrade implementations
  • Ability to support procurement and translate requirements to responsible technical / IT service delivery teams.

Finding value where others can’t

Our MRL team is full of big hitters, batting for the underdog, and finding value where others can’t.

Our success relies on the ability of our people to think differently, work smarter, and find hidden efficiencies. It’s how we define innovation and what gives our people the power to grow and scale a project.

Then there’s how we do it. We know how our people get the best out of themselves and checking off a to-do list designed under heavy layers of bureaucracy just isn’t it.

Here you get noticed when you maximise opportunities and build a better project, a better team, or a better workday.

And then there’s the extra benefits

We look after our people because they look after our business.

That means a range of additional benefits for choosing MRL, including:

  • Competitive salary
  • Quarterly cash bonuses
  • Generous leave options
  • Employee discounts and offers
  • Physical and mental health programs
  • Salary packaging
