The Opportunity

Supporting the Geology function, you will support in all areas of the Technical Services team with a focus on in-field services such as blast-hole sampling, ore markups and ore spotting. Additional responsibilities supporting the validation of grade block data accuracy and material movements of ore throughout the supply chain.

This position will commence on a 7D7N7X roster.

Duties will include;

• Accurate data analysis for feedback and geology data
• Blast Hole Sampling, Crusher sampling and delivery to on-site laboratory
• Density testing
• Ore spotting to maintain ore hygiene
• Stockpile inspection, reconciliations and balance
• QAQC review of Laboratory assay, results and data
• Communicate and escalate any variance or deviation to plan to key stakeholders

What is required?

• Manual C class Australian Driving License.
• Demonstrate safe behaviour at all times.
• Confident computer skills with Microsoft Office programs, in particular Excel and Word, and a willingness to increase your computer skills where required.
• Good organisational skills and ability to self-manage workload
• Ability to work in both a team environment, as well as confidence work independently
• Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with stakeholders at all levels
• Previous exposure to mining environment beneficial, but not essential
• General interest in rocks and geology highly desirable
