The Opportunity

The opportunity is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are qualified Tradesperson, interested in a career with MinRes.

• Boilermaker 
• Electrician / Instrument Technician 
• Auto Electrician 
• Mechanical Fitter 
• Fitter and Machinist 
• Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter

What is required:

• Demonstrated safety commitment
• Australian recognised Trade Certificate
• Current Australian Driver's License (Manual)
• Confined Space with Gas Testing
• Working at Heights
• Australian Work Rights
• National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months)

Our expectation of you:

✔ 100% commitment to complying with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures

✔ To be passionate about a long-term career in mining and to be keen, willing and able to learn a variety of new skills

✔ A flexible and enthusiastic attitude to work and training

✔ Capable of working in a busy, hands-on environment with strong time management skills

✔ If you are seeking FIFO work - Willingness to work in remote mine sites, up to 12 hours a day, various rosters on offer

✔ The ability to work as part of a successful team with well-rounded communication skills

✔ Hold a current C class driver’s license

✔ To pass a pre-employment medical examination and ongoing fitness for work assessments (including drug and alcohol testing)
