The opportunity

Reporting to the Supervisor Operational Support, you will be responsible for appropriate support and assistance is supplied to MinRes Construction Operations through auditing training processes, planning and executing improvements in the training process on site. This role is integral to provide support and assistance to Compliance Trainers, Authorised Assessors and site departments, playing a proactive role in finding solutions for closing training and assessment gaps.

This role will be a roaming role across multiple sites on an  8/6 roster as a 12 month fixed term contract.

Further responsibilities;

  • Mentor and coach participants on the Authorised Assessor and Compliance Trainer Pathway programs to develop skills and knowledge
  • Facilitate training and assessment (Nationally recognised training, Verification of Competency and familiarisation,)
  • Provide support and resource capabilities to the Training Supervisor regarding training and assessment facilitation, influence site leadership teams and provide solution focussed outcomes to meet compliance standards
  • Educate and guide site leaders in reporting tools to make informed decisions
  • Build key relationships with management teams to ensure a proactive approach is adopted regarding training needs, and training is factored into mobilisations, incident learnings. Implementation of new machinery, systems and processes
  • Support the implementation for new VOC/Training requirements for new equipment on site

 

What is required?

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (current) – minimum TAE40116
  • Valid C Class Drivers Licence
  • Extensive experience in a Mining/ construction/ Processing environment
  • Experience working in a training management system
  • Able to develop people in the training and assessment environment
  • National Competencies in the following fields are highly desirable;
