We are looking for a talented E&I Engineer, who will be responsible for providing electrical and instrumentation engineering expertise in the design, construction and maintenance of the organisation’s power stations, renewable energy infrastructure, gas processing facilities and associated infrastructure.

 

 

» Plan the delivery of engineering and detailed design to support greenfield and brownfield projects.

» Design and selection of renewable energy generation, Battery Energy Storage Systems, diesel and gas generation, field instrumentation, control, HV and LV         electrical equipment and systems.

» Carry out technical evaluation of tenders and recommend appropriate equipment and solutions.

» Work closely with I&C Engineers to understand PLC and SCADA equipment and design and electrical interfacing requirements.

» Provide a focal point for Instrumentation and Electrical related technical queries from stakeholders, suppliers and sub-contractors.

» Liaise with both in-house and external designers and detailers as required for the successful completion of each project. 

» Assist with purchasing of materials for projects by assessing quantities and completing purchase orders.

» Review and plan plant construction to ensure technical aspects and installation details of field work  are clear.

» Support testing and commissioning of power generation and gas processing facilities and infrastructure.

» Prepare Inspection and Test Plans and associated Project Specific Procedures.

» Ensure that the quality requirements are adhered to and that company procedures are followed.

 

This position reports directly to the Engineering and Project Manager, with a high level of autonomy and support at a senior level.

 

 

» Electrical or Instrument Engineering Degree

» Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar position

» Diverse energy industry experience in an Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering capacity from Concept to Commissioning

» Experience with generator control and protection systems would be highly beneficial.

» Experience with or certification in Hazardous Area classification would be highly beneficial.

» High level of computer literacy (operating systems, office products, engineering tools).
