About the role

We are looking for a Supply Superintendent to lead and oversee all Inbound and Outbound freight and logistics movements, the safe receipt, storage, handling, packaging, and timely dispatch of goods for all MRL group companies and subsidiaries.

You will ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of all Warehouses, resources, equipment & sustainability. A key responsibility is to work with the Logistics Manager to effectively plan, manage, and maintain MRL policies & procedures across the Supply group. 

This role is based in Perth overseeing the MRL Distribution Centre.

  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company policies and vision
  • Initiate, coordinate and ensure optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with warehouse management system
  • Liaise with internal customers, suppliers and transport companies
  • Plan work rosters, assign tasks appropriately and appraise performance results
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
  • Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems
  • Train group stores & logistics personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding MRL logistics strategies
  • Design and implement specific MRL customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customised warehousing and store related metrics
  • Develop a management plan to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios
  • Work with key suppliers toward direct system integration for all transaction data

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Tertiary Education in Logistics or Supply Chain related discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in an operational leadership role in the resources sector
  • Proven experience managing distributed teams and supply chain operations
  • Proficient in standard WMS software
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
