Brand new opportunities to make a lasting impact 

Heritage Advisor

  • Provide strategic advice in Heritage and Native Title matters relating to MRL activities based on a superior knowledge of, and applying conditions relating to the Aboriginal Heritage Act and Native Title Act in WA. Including: Section 16 excavation coordination, Section 18 salvage coordination and Regulation 10 coordination.
  • Plan and develop various in-field activities relating to Archaeological and Ethnographic Heritage clearances.
  • Conduct Aboriginal Heritage surveys across specific tenements.
  • Provide direct support and engagement to Aboriginal communities, and build mutually agreeable relationships with Traditional Land Owners as identified and directed.

Senior Heritage Advisor

Field Operations Supervisor

  • Supervise a team, ensuring safe working practices for all heritage and environmental field activities.
  • Manage on ground surveys and relevant stakeholders including traditional owners, anthropologists and ethnologists.
  • Coordinate SDP heritage approval conditions and site boundary delineation program.
  • Coordinate mitigation measures for ground-disturbing activities to ensure heritage sites are not adversely impacted.

Senior Tenement Officer

  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations pertaining to MRL’s tenement portfolio, including by monitoring the group’s progress in relation to satisfaction of annual expenditure and reporting commitments.
  • Contribute to the business’ strategy regarding tenement acquisition, maintenance and relinquishment.
  • Manage tenement application processes, including definition and internal authorisation steps.
    Prepare reports for the business as needed in relation to tenement matters under the direction of the Land Access Manager.

Land Access Officer 

  • Negotiate land access, heritage and native title agreements including conferring with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain a comprehensive database of contractual obligations under existing agreements entered into by the Company in respect of mining tenure and land access.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with the obligations register.

Michael | Land Access Manager (Acting)

With a background in law, Michael ensures that MRL obtains and maintains access to land required to conduct our exploration and operational activities. He works closely and builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders to obtain land access and maintain our tenure for our significant projects across WA. Michael joined MRL in 2019, growing his career in our land access team significantly since then with several step-up roles.

Meg | Senior Heritage Advisor 

As Senior Heritage Advisor, Meg conducts Aboriginal heritage surveys in the field, walking the proposed development area with Aboriginal people to make sure there are no heritage sites. She also leads engagement with Traditional Owner’s where there is native title and obtains their feedback on our proposed projects. With a background in anthropology, Meg joined MRL in the role of Heritage Advisor before quickly moving up the ranks into the Senior Heritage Advisor role.
