The Opportunity
MinRes is seeking an experienced Content Advisor to lead our social media presence on a 12 month fixed term contract! Translating business, communications and brand priorities into compelling content and meaningful engagement.
Reporting to the Communications Manager, you’ll develop a distinct strategy for each MinRes social channel: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X.
You’ll turn those strategies into a sustainable, rolling 90-day content plan, balancing themes, formats and audience needs. From developing content series to managing community conversations, you’ll take ownership of how MinRes shows up on social media.
Work closely with the Digital Lead on platform governance, account access, security and shared standards, while retaining ownership of day-to-day social media strategy and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Set clear objectives for each channel and maintain a rolling 90-day content plan, refining your approach using performance data and audience insights.
- Develop concepts, write copy, edit imagery and produce short-form video, prioritising planned content series and efficient, batched production.
- Manage scheduling, accuracy and channel-appropriate presentation, using organic promotion, resharing and cross-channel distribution to maximise reach and engagement.
- Monitor conversations, respond in MinRes’ voice and apply our social media acceptable use policy, taking moderation action within your delegated authority.
- Identify and escalate reputational, safety-critical, legally sensitive and employee-related issues through agreed pathways.
- Coordinate content contributions from Brand, Communications, Investor Relations, IT, operational teams and external agencies.
- Monitor social sentiment, track channel performance and advise colleagues on emerging trends, platform changes and effective social media practice.
- Deliver timely social updates, content pauses and amendments in coordination with the Digital Lead and the crisis communications framework.
What you’ll bring
- A degree in communications, marketing, digital media or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- At least five years’ experience managing organisational social media channels, including planning, publication and community management.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering channel-specific strategies and objectives.
- The ability to independently lead a specialist discipline while working within shared governance and standards.
- Experience developing and applying community management guidelines or acceptable use policies, including moderation and escalation.
- Strong practical skills in copywriting, image editing and short-form video production.
- Experience managing sensitive, high-volume or reputationally significant online engagement.
- Strong stakeholder relationships, a collaborative approach and a commitment to accurate, responsible communication.
