Electrician – Non-Process Infrastructure 

Iron Valley | Newman-based | 8/6 roster 

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join the team at Iron Valley, based out of Newman. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI), supporting the safe, reliable operation of critical site services. 

This role is ideal for a practical, solutions-focused electrician with strong experience in generator maintenance and fault-finding, along with bore pump systems and wider NPI electrical infrastructure. 

The role 

Reporting to the NPI Supervisor, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair and installation of electrical equipment across site NPI assets. 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: 

• Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on NPI electrical infrastructure  

• Diagnosing and repairing faults on diesel generators, generator control systems and associated switchgear  

• Maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing bore pumps, water supply systems and associated electrical controls  

• Working across camp, village, workshop, communications, water, power generation and other site-services infrastructure  

• Completing electrical installations, testing, commissioning and compliance checks  

• Responding to breakdowns efficiently to minimise disruption to critical site services  

• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site safety requirements, electrical standards and maintenance procedures  

• Accurately recording maintenance activities, inspections and work completed in the site maintenance system  

• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance asset reliability and safety 

What you will bring 

• WA Electrical Worker’s Licence  

• Current Australian driver’s licence  

• Demonstrated experience as an electrician in a mining, resources, industrial or remote-site environment  

• Strong practical experience with diesel generators, including maintenance, fault-finding and controls  

• Experience with bore pumps, water infrastructure, pump control systems and associated electrical equipment  

• Sound understanding of electrical maintenance, testing and fault diagnosis  

• A strong commitment to safety, quality work and working collaboratively within a site team  

• The ability to work independently, prioritise work effectively and respond calmly to breakdown situations
