About the role

CSI Mining Services is seeking an experienced Field Service Superintendent to lead the safe and efficient delivery of refurbishment activities for mining equipment components — including buckets, dump-truck trays, booms and sticks - from our Hazelmere base.

In this role, you'll oversee all aspects of field-based refurbishment work: planning, scheduling, quality control, execution, continuous improvement and business development. Working closely with operational and cross-functional teams, you'll drive high standards of workmanship, safety, productivity and turnaround performance. Your leadership will support the reliable return of critical components to service — contributing directly to equipment availability, operational efficiency and the profitability of our mining operations. You'll lead a team of supervisors and leading hands and work closely with the Field Service Admin team.

This role is based on a Monday to Friday roster with time at our Hazelmere Workshop and includes weekly travel to site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance, breakdown-response and refurbishment strategies.
• Lead the planning, scheduling and delivery of workshop and field-based maintenance, repair and refurbishment work.
• Allocate labour, equipment, tooling, consumables and materials effectively, managing resources within budget while maintaining quality, productivity and safety standards.
• Ensure all repairs and refurbished components meet required engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Champion continuous improvement across the team, identifying opportunities to improve repair methods.
• Lead, empower and develop supervisors, leading hands and their teams, building capability, accountability and a high-performing culture.
• Demonstrate visible safety leadership - show up, stand up and speak up on safety and behaviour.
• Support training, mentoring and development of team members to strengthen technical capability in welding, fabrication, inspection, repair and refurbishment.
• Foster an inclusive team environment that values diversity of thought, experience and perspective.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with team members and stakeholders on priorities, safety, performance and improvement opportunities.

What you'll bring

• Current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Schedule 26.
• Trade qualification - Boilermaker/Welder trade certification.
• Proven background in mobile equipment maintenance, ideally within heavy mining equipment refurbishment or field service environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing supervisors and trade teams in a fast-paced, safety-critical setting.
• A hands-on, safety-first mindset with a strong drive for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
