The Opportunity

This position combines strategic insight with deep technical expertise to identify, plan and deliver infrastructure solutions that align with business priorities, enhance operational efficiency and future‑proof our technology environment. You will evaluate emerging technologies, guide delivery teams, collaborate with business stakeholders, and develop investment roadmaps that support MinRes’ growth and innovation objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Technical Leadership

  • Lead technology investment decisions across the infrastructure portfolio to ensure solutions are innovative, scalable, and aligned with business goals
  • Direct the design and implementation of enterprise‑wide services and systems, addressing complex organisational challenges
  • Champion infrastructure technology investments through full business case development and technical roadmapping

Planning

  • Assess current infrastructure, identifying renewal and enhancement opportunities
  • Create multi‑year investment plans for infrastructure renewal and innovation
  • Collaborate with architects, system owners, and senior stakeholders to produce roadmaps and high‑level designs
  • Evaluate and recommend improvement opportunities that optimise business outcomes
  • Ensure all new infrastructure aligns with business continuity, disaster recovery, and security requirements
  • Prepare budgetary estimates for infrastructure projects and improvements

Operational

  • Provide technical leadership to delivery teams
  • Support the research and development of emerging and disruptive technologies
  • Represent Infrastructure at the Architectural Advisory Board
  • Maintain strong business and technical stakeholder relationships
  • Travel to site as required


Your Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure design, architecture and management, preferably in large‑scale mining
  • Strong understanding of technology principles and governance strategies
  • Proven experience with infrastructure environments typical to mining: wireless communications, networking, data centres, cloud systems and security
  • Proactive, collaborative, and innovative approach to complex technical challenges
  • Strong relationship‑building and influencing skills in diverse stakeholder environments with exceptional problem solving and communication skills
