Great opportunity exists at our Australian Garnet Mine for an experienced Mechanical (Fixed Plant) Maintenance Supervisor to join our team working in Kalbarri on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton and surrounding towns.  We are also offering camp accommodation.

Australian Garnet owns the Lucky Bay Garnet Mine, which has a mine life of 30 years. We are an owner miner with our own fleet of mining equipment, have a fully operational processing plant, packaging plant and 7 wind turbines, construction was completed approximately 3 years ago and is located 30 kilometers from Kalbarri.  

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervise all Mechanical Maintenance activities on site.
• Responsible for the mechanical availability of all equipment on site.
• Liaison with Processing & Maintenance teams within Australian Garnet, via frequent communication.
• Coordinate & plan maintenance work on site, working with the Maintenance Planner.
• Ensure requirements of MSIA / MSIR are met.
• Oversee the cleanliness of maintenance and site facilities and keep in a well-organized manner.
• Ensure that work is done in a safe manner and that safety is talked about and observed by all employees.
• Manage maintenance costs to be within budgeted aims.
• Monitor performance of maintenance work and provide feedback.

Necessary skills and qualifications; 

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Relevant Mechanical trade or tertiary engineer qualified.
• Current C Class Drivers license, HR License advantageous.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Suite and Pronto.
