The Opportunity

In this role, you will report directly into the Metallurgy Superintendent and work on an 8:6 roster as part of our Wodgina operation in the Pilbara. Your focus will be on providing metallurgical support for team members within our lithium processing plant.

This position commences as a 3-Month Casual Contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing metallurgical support for the team
• Carrying out routine equipment inspections and calibrations
• Collecting and preparing samples from the processing plant
• Carrying out lab scale test work, such as bench scale flotation tests and sieve sizing
• Helping identify and develop metallurgical improvement projects

What is Required

• Manual C class Australian Driving License
• Prior experience within metallurgical environments in the Mining sector highly regarded and a genuine interest in the industry
• Confident computer skills with Microsoft Office programs, in particular Excel and Word, and a willingness to further develop
• Strong organisational skills and ability to self-manage workload
• Ability to work in both a team environment, as well as confidence in working independently
• Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills with a safety first approach
• While not essential, previous experience in using Outotec OSA and PSI instruments would be beneficial.

The Wodgina lithium operation is located 120km south of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. MinRes manages all mining operations at Wodgina, including a spodumene concentrate processing plant with an annual capacity of 900,000 tonnes (SC5.5).
