About the Role

As a Compliance Trainer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our Mining Services operations remain compliant with all legislative, safety, and company requirements. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality training, assessing competency, and supporting continuous improvement in our safety culture.

We are looking for Compliance Trainers with the following experience wanting to work an 8:6 roster FIFO form Perth;

  • Crushing
  • Haulage
  • Mechanical
  • Mobile Plant

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote review, implement and support the MRL Training System that provides foundation and direction for MRL employee training.
  • Effectively facilitate training (Nationally Recognised Training, VOC, Site based training presentations etc.)  to meet site needs in accordance with the MRL Training System
  • Promote and support the MRL Training Standards and Processes.
  • support and resource capabilities to the Corporate Training Team in regards to training and assessment facilitation.
  • Proactively assist sites in achieving their compliance training requirements
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all applicable legislation, and standards.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to identify training and assessment gaps that need to be addressed.
  • Review and provide feedback regarding plant and equipment programs are updated to meet current standards of operation. 
  • Develop training packages when required to meet business needs
  • Ensure training delivery adheres to professional policies, procedures and regulatory bodies, working towards nationally consistent best practice.
  • Ensure training records are tracked and stored in accordance with MRL Company Standards.

Promote, mentor and coach Authorised Assessors for effective workplace understanding and use of MRL Training documents, tools, packages and presentations.

  • Maintain training profiles in accordance with Registered Training Organisation requirements.
  • Assist workplaces and workers in gaining maximum proficiency not just competency from training to achieve company goals and increase the return on investment.

About You

  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent – essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in relevant discipline e.g. - mine haulage, heavy vehicle operations or transport compliance, crushing, maintenance, surface mobile equipment
  • Current RII tickets relevant machinery
  • High Risk Licence desirable
  • Rio Tinto inducted desirable
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • High-level attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Current C Class driver's licence essential.
  • MC Licence only essential for Haulage Trainers.
  • Mechanical Trade only essential for AMG based trainers
