About the role:

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Training Supervisor for our CSI Training team.  

For this position you will reporting directly to the Training Superintendent and your primary responsibilities is to ensure that the appropriate support and assistance is supplied to the operations teams through the utilisation, audit, review and improvement of the Training Framework and Training Management System, analysis of training needs and management and scheduling of the Corporate Roving Team.

The Training Supervisor has full accountability for the allocation and management of the Roving Corporate Compliance Trainers and Training Coordinator, according to business needs as well as review and input into training systems, processes and documents.  You will be based at our Training Centre that is located at Osborne Park and report directly to the Training Superintendent.

Key responsibilities:

  • Promote review, implement and support the MRL Training System that provides foundation and direction for MRL employee training.
  • Effectively facilitate training (Nationally Recognised Training, VOC, Site based training presentations etc.)  to meet site needs in accordance with the MRL Training System
  • Promote and support the MRL Training Standards and Processes.
  • Provide strong leadership to the Corporate Compliance Trainers and Training Coordinator – including planning and scheduling, development of team, and performance management.
  • Provide technical advice and support to site regarding VET and Competency
  • Build key relationships with management teams to ensure a proactive approach is adopted with regards to training needs and training is factored into incident learnings, implementation of new machinery, systems and processes.
  • Proactively provide support and resource capabilities to sites to assist them in meeting training requirements.
  • Subject matter expert for INX - InTuition/Assessor App.
  • Develop electronic assessments, training related reports and notifications to meet business needs.
  • Develop internal training packages and assessment documentation in conjunction with SME’s.
  • Assist in scheduling and reporting of training related auditing processes
  • Provide support to Authorised Assessors and Site Compliance Trainers
  • Identify cost savings opportunities where MinRes are able to internalise training.
  • Liaise with Registered Training Organisations in regard to Compliance Trainer approvals.
  • Promote key training and compliance initiatives to key stakeholders.
  • Review Training & Compliance documentation to ensure all required outcomes are met.

What will you bring?

  • Cert IV Training and Assessment (current) – Required
  • Diploma of Training and Assessment (Highly desirable)
  • Valid C Class driver's licence
  • Formal qualifications in Leadership and Management (Desirable)
  • Training Management System experience (INX - InTuition desirable)
  • Experience in workforce management and scheduling coordination
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Understanding of training delivery requirements
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and systems
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
