The Opportunity

We’re in search of a dedicated Workshop Supervisor, reporting to our Workshop Superintendent, to manage our Haulage maintenance operations at Onslow Iron, Upper Cane project. You will play a pivotal role by overseeing labour management, coordinating daily operations for safe and cost-efficient asset maintenance, and effectively minimizing downtime.

This full-time, permanent position follows an 8:6/7:7 roster.

Your Responsibilities

• Uphold MinRes Safety & HSEQT regulations.
• Coordinate workshop staff's routine activities.
• Oversee Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Auto Electricians, Boilermakers, and Trade Assistants.
• Plan and manage repairs and maintenance tasks for haulage vehicles.
• Conduct inspections on accomplished work and conduct quality checks.
• Motivate staff to optimize productivity and performance.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to decrease equipment breakdowns.
• Collaborate with other departments for optimized fleet operations.

A successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role, successfully leading and coordinating multiple trades.
• Experience in organizing warehouse logistics operations within mining environments.
• Relevant trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical, recognized in Australia.
• Schedule 26 (mandatory)
• Excellent knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and vehicle diagnostics.
• Exceptional leadership and management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems effectively.
• Prior experience with Fleet Maintenance software is highly desirable.
