When entering into a traineeship you won't need any previous experience as you'll be provided both theoretical and practical experience while being carefully guided by dedicated trainers.

Processing Operator Traineeship
Processing Operator Traineeship
This is a 2 year site based traineeship and on completion you'll recieve a Certificate III Resource Processing.
As a processing operator, you'll take care of the plant that crushes and sorts the lithium or iron ore. Tasks can vary from hosing down the plant, monitoring all the equipment and belts to make sure it is in good working order or operating equipment like skid steers or telehandlers to maintain the area around the plant.
This traineeship is extremely physical, requiring working at heights, lifting heavy items and being outdoors in all weather.
Storeperson Traineeship
This is a 2 year traineeship and on completion you'll receive a Certificate III Supply Chain Operations. This traineeship is metro and site based.
As a storeperson, your daily tasks can include unloading trucks and booking in goods from suppliers, putting stock away on shelves and picking stock off shelves for orders. You'll need to have excellent attention to detail as you'll also be entering data into a computer system for stock control.
This is a very physical role, requiring working at heights, lifting heavy items and being active all day.
Tyre Fitter Traineeship
This is a 12-18 month site based traineeship and on completion you'll receive a Certificate II in Tyre Servicing Technology.
Tyre Fitters are vital to keeping production going by performing tyre, rim and wheel maintenance on heavy vehicles (HV), light vehicles (LV), earthmoving vehicles and off the road (OTR) vehicles.
This traineeship is site based, however you'll be required to complete high risk training and intensive training on tyre maintenance in Perth before being deployed to site. Once deployed to site, you'll carry out specific tasks under direct supervision and log evidence of completed tasks in an electronic logbook. Once you're deemed competent by a tradesperson and you've submitted all your evidence you'll be issued with your certificate.
This is an very physical role. It involves operating and working with high risk equipment, heights, confined spaces and lifting heavy items.
Administration Traineeship
This is a 12 month Perth-based traineeship and on completion you'll will receive a Certificate III in Business Administration. While this role is Perth based, there may be opportunity to gain experience on site.
The MinRes Administration Team are kept very busy doing a variety of tasks each day. As part of this team, you'll assist by greeting guests, answering calls, preparing digital and physical reports, scanning, ordering stock and entering timesheets. Most of your duties will require the use of technology and Microsoft Office products like Outlook, Word and Excel.
This traineeship requires long periods of being seated and computer work.
