The Opportunity

You will play a crucial part within our team supporting our haulage operations by maintaining our impressive fleet of Kenworth C509 Road Trains, equipped with quad or triple configuration side tippers with the latest technology and specifications. This position is based in Weipa, North Queensland. 

Your primary responsibilities will include servicing, attending to breakdowns and completing general mechanical repairs.

This is a permanent full-time position based on a 2/1 roster with rotating day and night shifts, offering FIFO from Brisbane or Cairns QLD.

About you:

  • Australian recognised Heavy Vehicle of similar Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Current Australian Driver's License
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality of work
  • Experience on Kenworth T909, T509; Cummins ISX; quad and triple trailer configurations; ideally Howard Porter of Boomerang
  • Demonstrated diagnostic, fault finding, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
  • The ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Unlimited Australian Work Rights
