The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Superintendent Haulage to oversee our haulage operations at our Client’s site. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills and have extensive experience in haulage logistics and management.

As Superintendent Haulage, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of iron ore, adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards while fostering strong client relationships.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and oversee daily haulage operations to meet production targets, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of materials.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor logistics strategies to optimize workflow and minimize delays.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations including both MRL/CSI & Client safety expectations, and industry standards.
  • Take responsibility for the maintenance and proper functioning of haulage equipment.
  • Communicate clear and specific responsibilities, discuss leadership expectations, and identify support and resources to meet these requirements.
  • Report any issues that impact or have the potential to impact production outcomes, escalating critical issues as per reporting protocols.
  • Address and resolve any logistical issues or emergencies that may arise.
  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and high morale utilizing the teams diverse skills and talents.

What is required?

  • Proven experience in haulage operations, logistics, client exposure and communication.
  • Strong understanding of industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet client deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver’s license, Schedule 26 and any other required certifications.
