About the role
MinRes Iron Valley Team are wanting to hear from committed Maintenance Planners to join their Iron Valley Iron Ore operations. The Project is located 75km northwest of Newman. Iron Valley is MinRes’ oldest producing iron ore mine and is one of two sites in our Central Pilbara hub.
Working an 8:6 Roster and reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent , the Maintenance Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our assets by developing and executing maintenance plans that maximise equipment availability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The successful person will work closely and collaborate with various stakeholders and contribute to the continuous improvement of our maintenance processes.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance plans, ensuring they are efficiently executed and contribute to maximising equipment availability while adhering to safety standards
- Continuously analyse planned versus actual results, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing enhancements to optimise maintenance processes
- Order and coordinate all necessary parts and materials for planned and scheduled maintenance work, ensuring timely availability to minimise downtime
- Prioritise and integrate safety measures within planned and scheduled work orders, fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance among the maintenance team.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on daily and weekly reports, facilitating data-driven decision-making for maintenance planning and resource allocation
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, actively participating in the development of standardised maintenance systems, standards, and processes to enhance overall maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
What you will bring to the team
- You will hold the relevant trade certificate or Tertiary qualification (Heavy Duty or Reliability Engineering)
- Experience using maintenance systems - Pronto & AMT experience HIGHLY DESIRABLE
- A strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling processes, including experience with maintenance management systems, work order generation, and asset life cycle management
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to review planned versus actual results, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve maintenance plans and processes
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate constructive communication with various stakeholders, both internal and external, and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a maintenance planning team
- Strong organisational skills to efficiently order and arrange necessary parts and materials, manage material procurement, and maintain comprehensive equipment life cycle records within the maintenance systems
- Strong commitment to Safety, when creating maintenance plans ensuring they comply with MinRes safety standards and the team is set up for success with the correct tooling, adequate labour & highly detailed work packs
