About the Opportunity

A wholly owned subsidiary of Mineral Resources Ltd (ASX: MIN), CSI Mining Services is a leading provider of pit-to-ship mining services unique to the resources industry. As one of Australia’s largest mining services contractors, CSI supports MinRes projects and external clients by providing capital infrastructure and whole-of-life operational expertise. CSI operations in Western Australia and Queensland. 

Due to continued growth, we are seeking Belt Technicians with conveyor systems experience to join the Field Services Maintenance Team.

These roles are full time positions based on a 2:1 roster and can allow you to grow your skill set with on-site training and the opportunity to develop your career on the tools and as a leader. You can expect to travel to multiple owner operated and client sites to perform scheduled shutdowns, maintenance attend breakdowns and back fill roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and maintenance on conveyor belt systems, including belts, rollers, frames, skirts, and pulleys.
  • Perform hot and cold splicing of fabric belts using vulcanizing presses and belt-handling equipment.
  • Carry out spot vulcanizing repairs and mechanical splicing
  • Support shutdowns, emergent maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
  • Assist with planned preventative maintenance and fixed plant maintenance

What is required:

  • Demonstrated safety commitment
  • Current Australian Driver's License
  • Experience with Belt Splicing/Polymer Processing Certificate or equivalent experience
  • Confined Space with Gas Testing (desirable)
  • Working at Heights (desirable)
  • White Card
