The Opportunity
Mineral Resources (MinRes) is experiencing exciting growth at our and we’re expanding our team. We’re seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our faced paced team on-site. This is a permanent full-time role based on an 8D 6RR roster.
In this pivotal role, you’ll develop and execute maintenance plans that optimise equipment availability, enhance safety standards, and deliver cost‑effective operations. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support continuous improvement and help shape our maintenance processes for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance planning and scheduling processes for the site mechanical, electrical and operational teams.
- Schedule resources, labour, materials and plant access for preventative, planned and emergent maintenance works.
- Maintain equipment lifecycle history in the maintenance systems for all major and minor tasks.
- Coordinate with the MRL procurement and supply departments for the timely arrival of all inventory, direct order materials and equipment.
- Facilitate the Contractor Management Processes for all labour hire, site contractors and shutdown crews.
- Contribute to the review, development and implementation of systems, processes and procedures that identify improvements to equipment performance, reduction in administration an overall sustainability of equipment life cycle.
- Develop and follow the shutdown planning tool ensuring all work scope, manning and budget information is captured and recorded.
- Organise and facilitate shutdown meetings on a weekly basis from +10 weeks.
- Chair weekly planning and schedule meetings to discuss schedule compliance, maintenance tasks, materials, plant availability impacts and labour requirements.
- Maintain documented minutes for all Planning and scheduling and shutdown meetings.
What You’ll Bring
- Relevant trade certificate – advantageous but not mandatory.
- Extensive experience in Shutdown or Maintenance Planning.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Programs.
- Skilled in data analysis, trend identification, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to foster team collaboration.
- Experience with production activities in a mineral processing plant.
- Commitment to safety through detailed work packs and thorough planning.
