The Opportunity
Our team are currently seeking an experienced Mine Surveyor to join our MT Marion operation on an 8D6X roster flying from Perth.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the team and ensuring the delivery of accurate survey data and supporting with operational planning. This role will see you partnering with teams across site to ensure precision in end of month reporting, survey mark ups and volume reconciliation.
Key responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive open pit mine surveying activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards

Manage end of month surveyed volumes – data entry, reconciliation and reporting

Complete survey mark ups to support mining, drill and blast operations

Provide timely reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly survey updates

Utilise Vulcan and other relevant software to prepare plans and models

Collaborate with operational teams to deliver accurate surfaces, designs, and spatial data for production and planning purposes

Maintain up to date survey records with a strong QA/QC focus

Working towards a safety first work environment and approach
What is Required:
-
Tertiary qualification in Surveying, Mining Engineering or related discipline

Extensive Mining survey experience, ideally in open pit operations, demonstrating qualities

High attention to detail with strong data accuracy skills

Proven end of month reporting, volume reconciliation, and survey data management experience

Proficiency with Vulan and experience with Surpac highly regarded
-
Knowledge of GPS systems, including Trimble RTK highly regarded
-
RePL Licence and relevant drone experience essential

Mt Marion is located 40km south-west of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. MinRes manages all mining activities at Mt Marion, including a spodumene concentrate processing plant with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tonnes (SC6 equivalent).
