We have a great opportunity for an experienced NPI Electrical Project Engineer to join our team working on a 2/1 FIFO roster at a Greenfield Construction Project in the Pilbara region of WA.

The scope of work will include NPI area including Workshops, Village, Fuel Farm, Washdown Bay, Administration Facility in addition to a Lump & Fines Crushing Plant.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for NPI Electrical Project Engineer to work on our new Greenfields Project on a 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth. These roles will report directly to the Project Manager where you will provide ongoing engineering support to site.

The Role

  • Develop project scoping documentation, including Scope of Works, Request for Quote and Management Plans.
  • Developing and maintaining project documentation including QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) standards.
  • Review project schedules and develop procurement registers based on site installation dates to ensure all deliverables are within the required timeframe.
  • Review project costs and recommend corrective action, including regular reporting to the project manager on budget and schedule achievements.
  • Assist in the procurement phase of project by developing Technical and Contract Bid Evaluations.
  • Develop procurement registers to ensure monitoring of supply goods, and report progress on a weekly basis.
  • Act as the focal point for all technical based queries from the client or associated sub suppliers and respond to queries within skill set and scope of knowledge.
  • Ensuring on–site compliance with safety protocols.
  • Undertaking site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Directing work site labour, delivery of materials and equipment and establishing detailed plans for coordination of site activities.
  • Assist in the minor purchasing of site required goods in a timely fashion, ensuring follow through to site acceptance.
  • Prepare Inspection and Test Plans and associated Project Specific Procedures.
  • Assist in the development of project document and drawings and document control monitoring.
  • Development of project MDR’s and deliverables.
  • Assist in ad hoc project reporting as requested, including internal reports and client reports.

 What you will bring to the team:

  • 5 years minimum experience in infrastructure project (resource or commercial industry) projects.
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering (Electrical).
  • 5 years' experience in the any of the following areas: Non-Process Infrastructure, Camp, HV Workshops, and or Accommodation Construction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work outputs.
