The Opportunity 

Due to division growth and expansion, MinRes are looking to grow the team and are seeking a dedicated Purchasing Officer who will contribute to cost-effective, timely procurement and delivery of materials and services, ensuring compliance with procurement standards. This role supports improvement initiatives alongside internal and external stakeholders, driving quality and efficiency. 

This position commences as a 12 Month fixed-term contract, based on a Monday-Friday work roster, working out of our Osborne Park Head Office. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Efficiently procure goods and services to promote value-driven outcomes. 

  • Ensure accuracy in purchase order data and adherence to approved standards. 

  • Prevent procurement of banned or unauthorised items. 

  • Address system queries and educate end users as necessary. 

  • Maintain governance and compliance across all procurement activities. 

  • Foster professional relationships with stakeholders and suppliers. 

  • Prioritise workload to effectively meet business needs. 

  • Timely escalation of system functionality issues to management. 

  • Participate in improvement projects under leadership guidance. 

  • Encourage a supportive culture that aids team member growth. 

  • Provide after-hours support for urgent business requirements. 
     

What is Required: 

  • Previous demonstrated experience in a Purchasing Officer role, preferably within the resources industry 

  • Experience with forward purchase agreements. 

  • Familiarity with Coupa P2P system preferred. 

  • Strong time management and communication skills 

  • Ability to work under pressure, both autonomously and in a team. 

  • Agile thinking, ready to seize opportunities and innovate. 

  • A collaborative approach, supporting colleagues and valuing diversity. 

  • Passion and courage to tackle challenges and achieve remarkable things.
