The Opportunity
MinRes is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to support our Shutdowns across our various operations in Western Australia. Reporting through to the Superintendent Maintenance Service, you will play a pivotal role overseeing and coordinating a team of highly skilled Tradesman and contractors, complying to safe work procedures, schedules, and quality standards throughout the duration of the shutdown activities.

The role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and organisational skills to ensure that shutdown projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within time constraints.

This is a permanent full-time role on a dynamic 8D 6RR roster. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise maintenance service teams across shutdown and project execution works
  • Allocate labour and resources to support shutdown activities and maintenance priorities
  • Lead small teams during shutdowns to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes
  • Coordinate planning, logistics, and execution of maintenance works across fixed plant assets
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to direct reports and wider crews
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, compliance, and operational requirements
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to meet shutdown and project deadlines
  • Drive strong team performance and maintain a proactive safety culture on site
  • Manage detailed shutdown work packs, including scope of work, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate with various departments to schedule shutdown activities to minimize production downtime and maximize efficiency
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance to make sure task activities are completed safely, on time, and meets quality standards
  • Make sure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant regulations and standards



What you’ll bring
Our ideal candidate will have previous demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within the mining industry.  To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical capability, practical leadership experience, and the ability to adapt to a changing shutdown-driven roster.

  • Extensive experience in a relevant Mechanical / Electrical trade role
  • Prior experience in a Supervisory position with excellent leadership skills within maintenance or shutdowns environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of maintenance practices, equipment reliability, and shutdown procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Australian recognised Trade Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical
  • Schedule 26 certification
