The Opportunity

The Maintenance Planner role involves overseeing both short-term and long-term planning and scheduling of maintenance for fixed plant equipment and infrastructure. Safety will be a priority, ensuing it is integrated into all planned and scheduled work orders and during maintenance operations.

Your primary responsibilities may include:

  • The position will be based at both our Kwinana Workshop and some time in Osborne Park, as well as site travel when required.
  • Carrying out maintenance planning and scheduling processes for the site mechanical, electrical, and operational teams.
  • Schedule resources, labour, materials, and plant access for preventative, planned and emergent maintenance works.
  • Coordinate with the MRL procurement and supply departments for the timely arrival of all inventory, direct order materials and equipment.
  • Contribute to the review, development and implementation of systems, processes and procedures that identify improvements to equipment performance, reduction in administration and overall sustainability of equipment life cycle.
  • Chair weekly planning and schedule meetings to discuss schedule compliance, maintenance tasks, materials, plant availability impacts and labour requirements

 

What is required?

  • Pronto experience essential
  • Formal Engineering Degree or Trade certificate (preferred but personnel with transferable skill are in encouraged to apply)
  • The ability to read drawing and understand maintenance manual
  • Have an understanding, condition monitoring, oil sampling, thermal reports , wear tracks,
  • Proven ability to plan multiple activities for remote areas with knowledge of logistical issues
  • Experience in Shutdown/Maintenance Planning
  • Experience in project execution
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Programs – Project, Excel, Word,
  • Experience with productions activities in a mineral processing plant
  • Must be prepared to travel to site and work over shutdowns or project work
