About the role:

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Training Supervisor to support our Operations for our Training and Competency Division. For this position you will reporting directly to the Training Superintendent and your primary responsibilities is to ensure that the appropriate support and assistance is supplied to MinRes operations through the utilisation, audit, review and improvement of the Training Framework and Training Management System, analysis of training needs and management and scheduling of the Corporate Roving Team.

The Training Supervisor has full accountability for the allocation and management of the Roving Corporate Compliance Trainers and Training Coordinator, according to business needs as well as review and input into training systems, processes and documents. You will be predominantly based at our Training Centre that is located at Osborne Park, and for this position, it is a requirement for regular site travel as the business requires.

In this position you will:

  • Review, develop and support the implementation of the MinRes Training Framework and Management System.
  • Provide strong leadership to the Corporate Compliance Trainers and Training Coordinator – including planning and scheduling, development of team, and performance management.
  • Provide technical advice and support to site regarding VET and Competency
  • Proactively provide support and resource capabilities to sites to assist them in meeting training requirements.
  • Develop electronic assessments, training related reports and notifications to meet business needs.
  • Develop internal training packages and assessment documentation in conjunction with SME’s.
  • Assist in scheduling and reporting of training related auditing processes
  • Provide support to Authorised Assessors and Site Compliance Trainers
  • Liaise with Registered Training Organisations in regard to Compliance Trainer approvals.
  • Promote key training and compliance initiatives to key stakeholders.
  • Review Training & Compliance documentation to ensure all required outcomes are met.

Necessary skills and qualifications:

  • Cert IV Training and Assessment Minimum TAE40116 (current) – Required
  • 10 years or more industry experience in RII – Mining/Mine Fleet
  • 5 or more years of experience in a Training Leadership role
  • Mechanical Trade (Highly desirable)
  • Experience in utilising Training Management Systems and Learning Management Systems,
  • Experience developing training packages
  • Experience in leading a successful team
  • Valid C Class drivers license
