About the role

Reporting to Training Supervisor, the Training Coordinator will travel across all sites to provide one on one support to Department Leadership. This multifaceted role will encompass, auditing, reporting, forming and executing plans and supporting site-based trainers and assessors.

This role is a FIFO based role on an 8:6 roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit MinRes sites to ensure compliance to the Training Framework requirements and support sites in the development of an action plan to rectify any findings
  • Embed the training framework on site
  • Plan best course of action to repair any gaps and process improvement
  • Build key relationships with management teams to ensure a proactive approach is adopted with regards to training needs, and training is factored into mobilisations, incident learnings, implementation of new machinery, systems, and processes
  • Report on area compliance and improvements (lead/lag indicators)
  • Establish and implement processes and systems relating to the day-to-day operations of the site-based compliance Trainers
  • Subject matter expert for the Company Learning Management System
  • Provide support for the Authorised Assessor and Compliance Trainer Pathway programs
  • Identify cost savings opportunities where MinRes can internalise training requirements
  • Liaise with Corporate Training Team as required
  • Support the implementation of new VOC/Training requirements for new equipment on site

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122)
  • Valid C Class drivers licence
  • Diploma of Training (desirable)
  • Training Management System experience
  • Experience with development of training packages to National Standards
  • Intermediate skills in MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Outlook
  • Experience in auditing processes is desirable
  • Experience working in a Mining Environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Training role in the Resources Sector
  • Experience in utilising Training Management Systems and Learning Management Systems
