About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join our team. Reporting to the MEM Superintendent, the Maintenance Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our assets by developing and executing maintenance plans that maximise equipment availability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The successful person will work closely with various stakeholders and contribute to the continuous improvement of our maintenance processes.

We have a breadth of new roles across our Planning team covering the short and long term space.

Rosters

  • Site based positions – 8/ 6 and 2/ 2
  • Perth based positions – Mon to Fri

Your key responsibilities

  • Effective Maintenance Plans: Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance plans, ensuring they are efficiently executed and contribute to maximising equipment availability while adhering to safety standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously analyse planned versus actual results, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing enhancements to optimise maintenance processes.
  • Efficient Parts Procurement: Order and coordinate all necessary parts and materials for planned and scheduled maintenance work, ensuring timely availability to minimise downtime.
  • Safety Integration: Prioritise and integrate safety measures within planned and scheduled work orders, fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance among the maintenance team.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Provide insights and recommendations based on daily and weekly reports, facilitating data-driven decision-making for maintenance planning and resource allocation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, actively participating in the development of standardised maintenance systems, standards, and processes to enhance overall maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Maintenance Planning Expertise: A strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling processes, including experience with maintenance management systems, work order generation, and asset life cycle management.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to review planned versus actual results, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve maintenance plans and processes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to facilitate constructive communication with various stakeholders, both internal and external, and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a maintenance planning team.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills to efficiently order and arrange necessary parts and materials, manage material procurement, and maintain comprehensive equipment life cycle records within the maintenance systems.
