The Role

Our Mt Marion Lithium operations is currently looking for an experienced well rounder Senior Safety Advisor to join our on-site team. This role will be on an 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth only.

Your role will be to ensure compliance with the relevant OHS and Environmental legislation, Australian Standards, and client OHS and Environmental requirements on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Leaders to support meeting WHS requirements and to improve overall WHS capability.
  • Support critical risk identification, evaluation and management.
  • Lead and support the development and implementation of WHS initiatives.
  • Development and implement safe systems of work, policies and procedures.
  • Support the risk assessment processes (management of change, critical risks).
  • Facilitate incident investigations and reports.

About you

  • Territory Level Qualification in Heath and Safety
  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, plus HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Current: Western Australian Drivers Licence
  • Extensive experience in a Mining or allied lead role.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting (ICAM or Taproot).
  • Knowledge of Risk Management and Loss Prevention techniques.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of safety management systems.
  • Experience in the practical application of safety in a heavy industrial/mining industry.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Western Australia Occupational Health and Safety, Workers' Compensation Legislation, Regulations, Standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
