Our MinRes Mount Marion site is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to support the continuity of our lithium operations and ensure our Environmental Obligations are met. 

 

You will play an integral role in supporting site personnel with projects, driving environmental awareness, and ensuring consistent delivery of committed environmental compliance activities.

 

This role reports directly to the Manager of Health and Safety and is based at our Mount Marion site on a regular 8/6 roster. You will have the opportunity to be part of a strong site team, where you will receive technical direction and support from the broader Environmental function at MinRes.

 

Your responsibilities may include;

• Provide onsite engagement with site team to ensure understanding and commitment to environmental compliance.

• Coordinate SDP process to ensure timely progression including close-out.

• Support auditing, inspection, monitoring, and reporting processes

• Assist in Environmental incident reporting, action completion, action tracking and ICAMs.

• Provide professional, timely environmental advice to site personnel.

• Support stakeholders and provision of scientific advice with respect to environmental aspects of the project

• Interpret legislation, government standards and agreements and provide informed commentary, improvement opportunities and risk management strategies.

• Ensure the provision of all necessary information to support the grant of all necessary environmental approvals. 

• Liaise with regulatory bodies and have an active involvement in external audits as required.

• Assist environmental incident investigation and follow up corrective actions with the respective stakeholders.

• Coordination and execution of environmental monitoring

 

• A Bachelor degree within Environmental Science or similar discipline

• Extensive environmental management experience  

• Significant hands-on site experience is required.

• A flexible mindset, ability to problem solve and excellent interpersonal skills to quickly develop productive working relationships across a variety of stakeholders and situations.

• Problem solver and mentor. Fast thinker that is systematic, engaging, and thrives on change. 

• GIS software skills
