The Opportunity

MinRes is seeking highly experienced Senior Environmental Advisors to ensure compliance and support the continuity of our Iron Ore projects. We are looking for proactive individuals who are committed to environmental excellence and making a tangible impact.

You will play an integral role collaborating with construction and operational teams to drive environmental awareness and ensure the consistent delivery of environmental compliance activities.

Our Site Environmental Advisors work on a regular 8/6 roster. Become part of a team dedicated to upholding environmental standards and ensuring sustainable project success.

Your primary responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite engagement with site team to ensure understanding and commitment to environmental compliance.
  • Coordinate Land Access Permitting process to ensure timely progression including close-out.
  • Support auditing, inspection, monitoring, and reporting processes
  • Assist in Environmental incident reporting, investigations, , action tracking and completion..
  • Provide professional, timely environmental advice to site personnel.
  • Support stakeholders and provision of scientific advice with respect to environmental aspects of the project
  • Interpret legislation, government standards and agreements and provide informed commentary, improvement opportunities and risk management strategies.
  • Coordination and execution of all environmental monitoring and associated project scopes
  • Collection and integration of all data, ensuring the provision of all necessary information to support compliance with associated environmental approvals and related reporting requirements. 
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and have an active involvement in external audits as required.

What is required?

  • A bachelor’s degree within Environmental Science or similar discipline
  • Extensive environmental management experience, within mining or resources industry.
  • Significant hands-on site experience is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams at all levels.
  • Problem solver and mentor. Fast thinker that is systematic, engaging, and thrives on change. 
  • Sound experience with GIS software skills
