The Opportunity

MinRes is seeking an experienced and driven Environmental Survey Coordinator to join our Environment team. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering world-class environmental survey programs that underpin our approvals and compliance obligations across our growing portfolio of projects. Reporting to the Approvals Lead within our Technical Services division, you will be the driving force behind the planning, logistics and coordination of environmental field studies. From engaging and mobilising specialist consultants through to tracking budgets and ensuring safe, on-time delivery, you'll be the go-to person who keeps our survey programs running smoothly. Some aspects of the role include but are not limited to;

  • Coordinating the end-to-end engagement and mobilisation of environmental consultants, from supporting scoping and procurement through to contract execution and managing deliverables.
  • Developing and maintaining integrated survey schedules aligned with project and approvals timelines.
  • Managing all field logistics: site access, travel, accommodation, equipment, inductions and Land Activity Permits.
  • Coordinating field risk assessments, JHAs and safety management plans to ensure every mobilisation meets MinRes' safety standards.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for consultants during field programs, monitoring performance against scope, schedule and quality.
  • Tracking expenditure, processing invoices and flagging budget risks before they become problems.
  • Maintaining accurate records and providing regular progress updates to the Approvals Lead.
  • Liaising with Land Access, Native Title, Heritage, GIS and Communities teams to ensure cultural and heritage considerations are embedded in survey planning.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • 2–5 years' experience in environmental coordination, project administration or consulting support, ideally within the mining or resources sector
  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, safety, project management or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated experience in consultant engagement, contractor management and field logistics
  • Confidence managing budgets, invoices and procurement administration
  • Proficiency in project scheduling tools, document management systems and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • A safety-first mindset and strong commitment to personal and team wellbeing
