About the role

Based at the MinRes owned and Operated Wodgina Lithium site the Excavator specialist will ensure a level of compliance to all aspects of company policy/ procedures and work management practices; to provide leadership and direction to respective Asset Management teams to help achieve optimal fleet performance and safety across the excavator and drill fleets. You will be working an 8:6 roster (day shift only)  reporting directly to the site-based Maintenance Manager and working back to back with the drill specialist.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about excavators  and enjoys working with the Liebher product to be a Subject Matter Expert. If you enjoy networking and liaising with stakeholders both external & internal at levels this is the role for you. • Provide technical support to the likes of MEM Supervisors and Fitters
• Liaising with site-based planners around scheduled  around preventive maintenance in a bid to limit machine downtime
• Being the main link between OEM and site personnel 
• Regular liaising with OEMs to ensure parts availability, rushing orders where required and in a bid to streamline the troubleshooting process – also in a bid to limit machine downtime   
• Liaising with OEMs regarding any warranty claims or product performances issues
• Ensuring works undertaken on the Excavators are conducted in accordance with MinRes safety standards

 What you will bring to the role:

• 4 + years working on Liebher Excavators  from 9200-9600
• You will hold a Heavy Diesel Trade Certificate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A strong focus on continuous improvement
• Exceptional organisational skills and prior fleet management experience
• A strong commitment to safety & adhering to MinRes policies and procedures
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership where required
• Previous experience with Platform rigs i.e. Cat MD6250/Epiroc D65's highly desirable but not essential  
• Experience working with Hitachi Excavators highly desirable but not crucial
