About the Company:

Australian Garnet owns the Lucky Bay garnet mine, which has a mine life of 30 years. We are an owner miner with our own fleet of mining equipment, have a fully operational processing plant, packaging plant and 7 wind turbines, construction was completed approximately 18 months ago and is located 30 kilometers from Kalbarri.  

These position will be based on a;

  • 2:1 (Day shift) FIFO from Perth (Staying in Kalbarri camp accommodation) OR

  • 2:1 (Day shift) BIBO/ DIDO from Geraldton (Staying in Kalbarri camp accommodation) OR

  • 8:6 (Day shift) BIBO/ DIDO from Kalbarri.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct work in a safe manner, using the Take-5's job hazard analysis (JHA's) to meet safety standards. 

  • Carry out Servicing, Maintenance and Repairs to Company equipment in accordance with Planned Maintenance Processes.

  • Maintain all required logbooks and inspection reports as per company procedure.

  • Report all Faults and Defects to maintenance personnel, offering potential solutions.

  • Good troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities,

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Fitter 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Experience working in a Workshop and/or Field Services environment,

  • Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia,
